The Pocket Shot

The Pocket Shot

It’s not like there was anything wrong with the way slingshots have been designed since forever. They’re slingshots. They’ve been helping target shooters and juvenile delinquents achieve their goals for decades and doing it well.

One area where slingshots fail is discretion and transportation. Kids in cartoons are always pulling a wrist cannon out of their back pockets like it’s the most natural thing in the world but it’s practically impossible to carry a slingshot that way in real life. They’re too big and too top-heavy.

But now there’s The Pocket Shot!

With a major overhaul of the traditional design, The Pocket Shot is a simple disc that fits easily in the palm of your hand (and, duh, your pocket). Ammo is shot by dropping it into the pouch, pulling the latex back about nine inches and releasing it at the target. The Pocket Shot fires at speeds of up to 350 feet per second and each latex pouch is good for 300 to 500 shots.

Ammo, you ask? 1/4″ or 5/16″ steel balls are recommended and sold by the manufacturer. You can also get a “whisker biscuit” attachment if you’d rather shoot arrows with The Pocket Shot. Yes, arrows.

Try doing that with a regular slingshot!
