Spicy Salt and Vinegar Popcorn

Spicy Salt and Vinegar Popcorn

This is the kind of thing that makes you wish they could use those tubes from a bank drive-thru to instantly blast food you buy online straight into your house.

Pyro Pop’s simple motto is “Unapologetically Spicy” because every batch of every flavor of their popcorn is popped in a chili-infused peanut oil they make in-house. And the reason they make that chili oil themselves is so they can make it hot enough to satisfy their capsaicin addiction, which normal snacks marketed as “spicy” just never seem to do.

When Pyro Pop says spicy, they mean spicy. The least hot chili used in their oil rates between 150,000 and 300,000 Scoville Units. A common jalapeno pepper is between 2,500 and 5,000 units on the same scale. So, you know, don’t fuck around with this stuff.

Currently offered in three flavors, you can get a three-cheese blend, a cheddar flavor with a hint of dill or the salt & vinegar flavor featured here. Looking for those flavors without the extreme heat? Look somewhere else.
