The most difficult part of yoga is finding the motivation to actually show up to the class. Once the mat’s down and the breathing’s started, it’s all downhill from there. But something about getting there seems like so much work.
We find a common mental association trick to be extremely effective. Take something that’s hard to do and trick the mind into associating it with something that’s way too easy to do. In this case, Mexican food. Burritos, specifically.
You know there isn’t really a burrito inside your clever new yoga bag. (Unless you put a real one inside of there.) But maybe your brain can’t keep from seeing that giant burrito and grouping it with the pleasure of enjoying a massive carnitas burrito with extra hot sauce.
Suddenly, getting to yoga class doesn’t seem like such a chore!
