Personal Magnetism Book
Turns out, many people think they “just don’t have it” may be completely wrong when it comes to the people skills department. The Charisma Myth argues against the notion that some of us are born with innate powers of persuasion, as if leaders are hand-picked by nature. It’s simply not true.
Like learning to play a musical instrument or speak another language, popularity is a skill that can be mastered with time and practice. This isn’t one of those pickup artist manuals, by the way. If you’re thinking about reading this book to try and use people, it’s not going to work. Step one of being a person people like is that you have to be a real person, not a sociopath.
Even if you don’t have any problems socializing, this book is still a very interesting look at the hows and whys of human interaction. Highly recommended!
